What's happening in the vineyard

VINEYARD
What have we been up to here? All the grapes have been harvested - with the help of many locals we had a really successful grape harvest. The sun shone for us and the workforce behaved themselves - they were rewarded with Dot's homemade scones, jam and fresh whipped cream - delicious!
As we head into winter we will be focusing our attention on pruning the vines, the sheep will be going in to keep the grass down, whilst all our lovely grapes from this years harvest are off being made into more delicious Wee Red Barn wines.

OLIVE TREES
Once again we have nearly sold out of our delicious olive oil. We are waiting for the next harvest which should begin in June - this is not the favorite job of anyone at the Wee Red Barn and I can honestly say that all of our olives are hand picked.
Once they have been harvested and processed we leave the oil to settle and let the flavors develop for a couple of months before we start to sell it. So the next batch will be on sale from August.
Our olive trees require little maintenance, which makes a refreshing change, although we are fortunate to have a unique olive tree pruning system - Nanny the goat!
